STUDENT'S POLICY

At Mirekua International Community School, we are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
Our student policy outlines the expectations and responsibilities for all students. Please read each section carefully.

SECTION 1: ATTENDANCE
1 Students must attend school regularly and punctually.
2 Absence is only permitted for health or emergency reasons, with a note from a parent/guardian or doctor.
3 All absences must be reported to the school by the parent/guardian.
4 Holidays, midterm breaks, and vacations will be communicated in advance.
5 School begins at 7:00 am and closes at 3:00 pm. Students must arrive by 7:30 am and leave by 3:30 pm.
6 Attendance at assembly and all school events is compulsory.
7 Requests for absence must be made in writing and approved by the Director/Headteacher.
8 DRESSCODE: Students must always come to school in the prescribed school uniform for specific days.
9 HAIR: Students must always put on a decent haircut (boys) or braids (girls) with no beads or hair dye.
10 Students must always put on black shoes with white socks and wear sneakers on Wednesdays for PE.
11 At all times during the day, students are expected to appear neat and decently dressed.
SECTION 2: ACADEMIC CONDUCT
1 Students must complete all assignments and homework on time and to the best of their ability.
2 Cheating, plagiarism, or any form of dishonesty is strictly prohibited.
3 Respect for teachers, staff, and fellow students is expected at all times.
4 Disruptive behavior in class or on school property will not be tolerated.
5 Students must bring all required materials to class each day.
6 Use of mobile phones and electronic devices is only allowed with teacher permission.
7 Students are expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
8 Repeated failure to meet academic expectations may result in disciplinary action.
SECTION 3: COURTESY
1 Students are expected to be courteous to peers, staff, and visitors at all times.
2 Bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind is not tolerated.
3 Students should use polite language and gestures in all interactions.
4 Respect for school property and the property of others is required.
5 Students must report any lost or found items to the school office immediately.
SECTION 4: SECURITY & SAFETY
1 Students must not leave school premises without permission.
2 Visitors must report to the school office upon arrival.
3 Students must not bring prohibited items (e.g., weapons, drugs) to school.
4 Emergency procedures must be followed at all times.
5 Students must report any suspicious activity or safety concerns to staff immediately.
